First Day of Preschool

I think someone may have been a little excited about their first day of Preschool because he was up at 6:30 this morning.  I still can't believe this little guy is old enough to be in Pre-K and am so glad he has a late birthday and has one more year before Kindergarten.

When we got to the school today he wanted to be the one to push the stroller.
He did a great job of walking right into his classroom without any problems.  We took a few pictures and showed him where his seat was and he was off to get the box of cars to play with and didn't mind at all when we told him bye.

So glad he had a great first day at "school" and that he is looking forward to going back tomorrow.  I think it's going to be a great year and am super excited about where he is attending and the teacher he has.  I hope his enthusiasm continues and that he has a great school year.

Cousin Lovin

My brother and his family came up on the 12th to visit for the day.  The kids had a great time playing together and paused long enough to each love on Joshua for just a second before they were off and about again.  Wasn't it just yesterday that these guys were the size of Joshua?

Of course Caleb didn't want to miss out getting to love on his little brother some also.

Paging Dr. Winberry.....I mean Hospital

I really wanted to make sure that Caleb felt included in Joshua's arrival and that he didn't feel left out so we took a couple of gifts to give him at the hospital.  The night Joshua was born we let him open his first gift that contained snacks, juice boxes, a color book and crayons, a sticker activity book and army men.  These were from Joshua and were suppose to be things to keep him occupied while he waited to meet his little brother but things happened so quickly that he ended up opening them a little later after he arrived.

The next day Daddy and I let him open up a gift from us. To say that he was a wee bit excited when he opened his gift would be an understatement (that is after the fact that he realized it wasn't legos.  He is on this huge lego kick right now.)

I originally wanted to get Caleb a pair of scrubs but then later came across this cute doctor's outfit, complete with scrubs, at Toys R Us.  Let's just say it was a big hit and Caleb LOVED pretending like he was a Dr. and was very busy for the remainder of the day checking on his little brother and making sure that all of his vitals were ok.  He cracked us up on how serious and intent he would look as he was checking him over.  He was very thorough in his "exam" and would even check his back to make sure he sounded ok.  He was a little disappointed at first that his outfit did not come with booties but Daddy quickly came to the rescue and asked one of the nurses if Dr. Winberry could have a pair of theirs.

At one point during the day he thought it was fun to enter into the room like he had seen the other medical staff.
We had been referring to him as "Dr. Winberry" all day but for some reason he decided he didn't want to be called that anymore and he corrected me and told me to call him "Hospital" (LOL). I'm so glad that he enjoyed his presents and that he loved feeling important while he checked on his little brother.

Pregnancy Update

How far along: 38 weeks

Total weight gain: 21 lbs.

Maternity clothes: Definitely and even some of those are getting a bit tight

Stretch Marks: Yep, I have definitely earned my "stripes" between my two pregnancies

Sleep: Yes, but definitely not uninterrupted.  I feel like I’m getting up every 2 hours to go to the bathroom and am crazy thirsty at night no matter how much water I drink during the day which doesn’t help my issue of having to get up several times at night.  I even end up drinking water each time I get up in the middle of the night which just compounds the problem J

Best Moment of the Week: Finding out I am 1 cm dilated!

Miss anything: Being able to move around with ease.  It feels like I’ve carried him pretty low the whole time which has definitely taken a toll on my lower back and hip flexors. I think of my grandma every time I get up out of a chair or bed and how she would have to stand up and then pause for a minute before she took off walking. I find myself having to do this exact same thing, it’s like it just takes a minute to get the body going.

Movement: Uh yes!  He is really active at night which I’m hoping is not a sign of things to come with regard to his sleeping habits.  I love getting to feel him move around even when some of his movements can be a bit uncomfortable.  It’s funny watching how he will distort my belly.

Food cravings: Early in the pregnancy it was hot wings and pizza, later I had a spell of craving watermelon and it seems like I’ve craved more sweets this time around.

Anything make you sick: No

Gender: Boy!

Labor Signs: Nothing I can think of this week.

Symptoms: I feel like I want to be in the nesting phase but my body just doesn't want to cooperate.  I can do a few things and then have to stop and take a break.  I also find myself getting very winded and out of breath especially when I'm standing up which is weird since he is so low.

Belly Button in or out: Started out pretty flat but then decided to start poking out just a little bit.

Happy or Moody: It all depends on the day J

Wedding ring on or off: Off, my fingers definitely swell up something crazy at night and there is no way I could wear my wedding ring.  It’s actually been off for a few months.

Looking forward to: Meeting this little guy and finding out if he looks anything like Caleb.  Also ready to be able to get up and walk with ease without my body aching.
