#8

While brushing Caleb's teeth Tuesday night I realized that his mouth had a new visitor. Tooth #8 has arrived and is sitting pretty on the bottom row right next to the others! This now makes 4 on top and 4 on bottom. Happy teething Caleb!

Reminder

Just a reminder it's been over 30 days so for those of you that use Parent's Choice formula you can call again and request your coupon (see earlier posts here). Looks like they are still giving out the $3 coupons but hey that's better than nothing.

I also called again today and requested coupons from Nature's Goodness baby food. Last month when I did this they sent me 2 coupons that were each for a free jar of baby food up to a $0.70 cent value. This equals 2 free jars of stage 3 baby food. Yahoo!

Halloween Costume Take One

We are starting to get geared up for Halloween and have been trying to decide what Caleb is going to be for his first night of ghosts and goblins. Our first thought was a sock monkey. We originally found this costume on-line and thought it would be super cute and a bit original but after picking it up at Target a few days ago we have decided to keep looking. The only size they had in stock was a bit snug and I can't say we were really crazy about the material. Yes, like everything else I'm sure I'm over thinking it but hey I want to get it right, this is after all his first Halloween. I mean who wouldn't want to get the perfect costume for all of those great scrapbook pages that I'm sure will never find there way to completion in my craft room. (Seriously that's a whole other post in itself. Sherry you seriously need to start organizing a monthly crop till you drop night at the church and help push a little motivation my way).

Random Babbling

Once again I'm a little behind on updating our blog so here is just some random things that have been going on:

#7 - Caleb's 7th tooth made an appearance on Thursday, September 11. This now makes 4 on top and 3 on the bottom. I haven't noticed any more bumped up gums so maybe we will hold off a little bit before the next one comes in. I say this but tooth #6 seemed to just come up out of nowhere so who knows he may wake up in the morning with another one.

Hold On Tight......or Don't - Caleb is getting more and more brave and is starting to let go of things more frequently and stand on his own. It's so funny to watch him get busy inspecting something or playing with something in his hands and suddenly realize hey wait I'm not holding on to anything. He will either quickly grab back hold or will just slowly squat down and sit. He hasn't attempted to take any steps without holding on to anything but he will walk if you hold his hand and is also starting to test his distance and reach out and see how far it is from one thing to the next.

Rx - Caleb finally had to have his first prescription filled. After a couple weeks of runny nose I decided on Friday it was finally time to call and see if he needed to come in and see the doctor. Looks like he has a little cold and was in the beginning stages of getting an ear infection due to the runny nose. We are currently taking Amoxicillin and hopefully will be able to get everything cleared up.

10 Months Old

Here we go again, yet another month has come and gone and whether David and I like it we continue to race toward Caleb's first birthday. I'm not ready to blow up the birthday balloons! David and I still catch ourselves looking at him in amazement that those little eyes looking back at us are our sons so it can't possibly be time to light birthday candles.

He is changing so much each day and has really begun to form his own personality. I hate to say it but we may have our work cut out. While he may look like his Daddy it appears that he is going to act like his Mommy and have a very strong temperament. Sadly we have already had a few rounds and I must say he is getting pretty good at throwing a fit including the fun arch your back and have a good cry approach. He however can also be the sweetest little thing ever and snuggle with you and just melt your heart with those blue eyes and sweet smile.

He is the best little eater even though sometimes to a fault as he loves to put everything in his mouth at once. He definitely doesn't have his Daddy's taste buds and likes spinach, broccoli and corn.

He evidently is in early training to one day take on Mt. Everest because he can't seem to get enough of climbing up our stairs and is not a fan of us blocking off his path of adventure.

He still loves bath time and thinks it is good fun to splash and cause the water to go everywhere. There have been several times that we have ended up almost as wet as he is.

He loves walking with his walker and gets around really good with it. He cruises the furniture and every now and then lets go and will balance for a few minutes.

He is fascinated with the potted tree in our kitchen and has already eaten dirt out of it twice. I think this is one battle I've decided to let him win as I'm tired of saying "No, No" and I think tomorrow the tree is going to find a new home in our bedroom.

He loves jabbering and there are many mornings that he talks the whole drive to Nana and Papa's house.

He loves his kitties and no matter how often we tell him "kitty says meow, meow not boof, boof" he continues to bark at them. He however also will say "boof, boof" when he sees or hears a dog. It appears will never grow tired of chasing his kitties around while pointing and squealing with glee.

Temper tantrums, giggles, dirt and all we think he is the best little thing ever and wouldn't trade him for anything.

Team Cameron

This past Saturday we participated in our first "walk" as a family and had a great time taking strides for Cystic Fibrosis. We are so glad that we participated in this great cause with our spiritual family. We had around 27 people from church come out to support and walk in honor of Cameron. The weather was perfect and the fellowship was great. We are already looking forward to next year! Thanks Dallas for all your hard work in organizing Team Cameron.

Chomp, Chomp!

Without any fuss, extra drooling or extra chewing on things Caleb has had a 6th tooth poke through! This now makes a total of 3 on top. I was changing his diaper tonight and for some random reason decided to look and see if it looked like he might be getting any more teeth soon and there it was without any type of warning the tip of a tooth already poking through! Nana said his head had been a little warm today and he has been rather snotty but I didn't think anything of it because I have also had a runny nose. I think this was the easiest one yet. At this rate he may have a full set of teeth by the time he is 1.
