8 Months Old

Ok, so I'm a little behind getting this post submitted being that Caleb turned 8 months old on July 10 but I guess better late than never.

Here is what you have been up to since last month:
* You have 3 new teeth (this makes a total of 4)
* You can sit up on your own
* You are crawling and have learned to pull up onto a few things (ie. Daddy while he's laying in the floor, the bottom step in the living room, in your crib).
* You are finally getting some hair
* You have found the doorstops and thank these are a great new toy
* You've attempted to at least put one knee on the bottom steps in our living room in effort to chase the kitty up the stairs. Luckily it was not a successful mission and we still have a little more time to find a baby gate but I fear that time is quickly running out.
* You've learned how to stick out your tongue
* You can wave with both of your hands but not necessarily in response to bye bye
* You absolutely can not stand for your stacking cups or blocks to be stacked up without coming and knocking them over.

Formula Coupons!

What, you can actually get a coupon for generic formula at Wal-Mart? I am always on the lookout for discounts on baby items and recently found out that if you call PBM (the company that makes Parent's Choice formula) they will mail you coupons! According to Denise at The "Cent"sible Sawyer You can call the company once every 30 days and they will send you a $3.00 off coupon for their formula. Their toll free number is 1-800-272-5095 (this number is also on the back of the can of formula).

I decided it was worth a shot so I just called the company and the rep told me to mark my calendar and I could call back every 30 days for more coupons. She told me it would take 2-6 weeks to receive the coupon so I won't know for a while if it actually works and how much the coupon is worth.

On Your Mark, Get Set, Go!

And we are off.......Caleb finally got his left leg to cooperate with the rest of his body and is off and crawling. The day I was excited about and almost dreaded in the same breath is here. HE'S MOBILE, AAAHHH! My little ball of energy is off and to the races and there is no stopping him. I'm not exactly sure what type of record he is trying to break or why he thinks he needs to grow up soooooo fast but in the last couple of weeks he has figured out how to sit up, crawl, wave with his left hand, stick out his tongue, has cut 2 teeth with a third on the way (this will make a total of 4), and if David is laying in the floor he can pull up on him into a standing position! No, no, Caleb.....Mommy says stop growing up so fast.

Looks like we are now on the lookout for baby gates since he figured out today that we have stairs. So far he is content to just use the first step as a drum but at the rate he's going he will be at the top of them before we know it.
